RI welcomes its first president from Korea, Dong Kurn Lee. His theme, Make Dreams Real, reflects the world as he would like it to be – one in which children have the best possible chance at survival and the opportunity to reach their dreams.

The first Rotary club in China was established 89 years ago this month. Club members took an active role in community service. World War II had a serious impact on Rotary, and clubs in many countries, including China, were terminated during the war.

Today, Rotary clubs once again are forming in China.
